Small successes
Down to 118ish after a very long ride today. That is probably 5 lbs lighter than I was before the ride. So I'll call it 123 but that is still a 2 lb loss. Ride today was alot of fun. I rode out to Cabrillo National Monument, I rode down to the tide pools and rode through the cemetary. This was the first time I exercized all week though, so increased exercize is a goal for next week.
Gentlemen, sorry I haven't posted anything recently. Been kinda slammed with the house and work. Things are going ok. Scott, I can relate. Around 10pm I get hungreeeee! But, I feel like I've been pretty good at the gym. Bryan, I'm sorry I just saw your post about riding today. I would have loved to if I wasn't working. I also need to get the bike tuned. I'll get on that.
Keep up the good work guys. We'll all love the benefits.

Time to step it up.
Okay gentlemen. I just stepped on the scale and it wasn't pretty. 225, lets call it 223 adding on weight for the time of day and my heavy winter garments... Either way, not very good. My food and fitness goals for the week are the following:
Rick, I don't have any riding plans for next Saturday if you want to plan a ride. I'm sticking sticking to my touring bike in order to get used to it for the summer. It's not a speedy bike but if were just cruising I should be able to keep up with you. Maybe in a few weeks I'll get back out on racing bike.
Are either of you guys up for a midweek walk? Scott I know you've got the home gym going but hikes are a good excuse to pack a flask, whereas you never see folks doing that on a treadmill. It may need to be an after dark thing, through the Florida canyon trails.
Sorry for not posting sooner. I am redoubling my resolve and efforts!
- .5 hours of exercise three days this week
- 1900 calorie max daily intake

Here we go!
I haven't stepped on a scale since we spoke about it a couple of weeks ago. My weight at that time was just over 200lbs. My goal is to get down to 180lbs. I've also added the goal of getting back to a 33" waist (pants are getting a little tight). I figure I'll weigh myself again next Fri, and see how things are going.
I'm told that eating breakfast is important because it jump starts your metabolism. Not sure if its true, but yesterday I started eating breakfast. I have also been trying to eat 5 to 6 times a day, but smaller portions. Today I'm hitting the gym. Wish me luck.
